Padmodaya Foundation successfully conducted its first Annual General Meeting (AGM) on January 25, 2025, at Dhangadhimai Municipality. The event marked a significant milestone for the organization, which has been actively engaged in various social welfare activities across the region.
The meeting highlighted the foundation’s achievements over the past year, including:
- Disability Support: Distribution of wheelchairs to individuals with disabilities.
- Education Initiatives: Provision of school uniforms and leadership training for principals in collaboration with Kathmandu University to improve education in community schools.
- Community Assistance: Contributions to drinking water projects, fire victim support, and office equipment for local cooperatives.
- Senior Citizens Respect Program: Distribution of winter blankets to over 100 elderly citizens.
- Health and Blood Donation Campaigns: Support to the Nepal Red Cross Sub-Branch with communication tools and participation in blood donation drives.
- Sports Initiatives: Sports materials support Include awareness sessions to educate youth about the dangers of drug abuse.
The AGM was attended by prominent personalities, including Ashok Khadka, the foundation’s patron and CEO of NECO Insurance, who expressed his commitment to continuing financial and moral support for the foundation’s initiatives. In his address, he emphasized the importance of empowering youth, women, and marginalized communities through collaborative efforts.
During the event, the foundation unveiled its future goals, which include expanding health services, increasing educational scholarships, and launching skill development programs for youth and women.
President Dipendra Mahato delivered the annual report, showcasing the foundation’s transparency and dedication. He thanked all members, partners, and supporters who contributed to the foundation’s success.
The AGM concluded with a renewed commitment to uplifting the lives of underprivileged communities and fostering sustainable development in Siraha and beyond.
